The Indigent Care Collaboration (ICC) in Central Texas, an alliance of healthcare safety net providers that work together to increase access, improve quality and impact financing solutions to provide care to the region's medically indigent. Central Texas compiled an extensive report; “Charting the Future: Recommendations for Increasing Access to Primary Care for Central Texas Residents”. Included in this report is information about the collaboration’s use of Medicaider amongst its partner members and the resulting screenings and eligibility results.
The Interfaith and Wellness Coalition writes a summary of Medicaider and training opportunities for its Winter 2007 newsletter. The IWC is a member of the Palm Beach County Community Health Alliance, an alliance of over 30 public and private safety net health and mental providers and supporters who are collaborating for healthcare access, provides access to Medicaider to its members.
Medicaider is referenced in the Community Impact Newspaper 2007 Healthcare Directory for Williamson County, Texas. This guide is a comprehensive and useful healthcare tool aimed at helping individuals locate and map local providers as well as listing resources available to those who currently do not have access to care.
In its report of "Healthcare that Leaves No One Behind" Seton Family of Hospitals discusses using Medicaider and CHASSIS to maintain consistency with Ascension Health’s 5 Steps to 100% Access. The report itself covers the initiative designed to bring our nations’ communities a more cost-effective, higher performing healthcare safety net through a community-wide collaborative model, led by Ascension Health member hospitals.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation references Medicaider in its report "Increasing Health Insurance Coverage at the Local Level: The Communities in Charge Program". This is in reference to the Indigent Care Collaboration providing use of the Medicaider to its partner members and the resulting success.
